We are an investment club where financial growth aligns with conservative values. Our club brings together like-minded individuals who seek both strong returns on their investments and the opportunity to support conservative political candidates who champion principles of limited government, individual freedom, and free-market economics. Goals
The primary purpose of our investment club is to facilitate collaborative investing among a select group of individuals, with an emphasis on achieving significant annual returns, learning from each other, and contributing positively to the broader community. We aim to facilitate financial growth for our members through savvy investments, while also fostering a deeper understanding of financial markets and investment strategies.
Membership and Capital
The club will maintain a cap of 10-15 members, each of whom will commit to investing $1,000 per month for a period of 10 years. This capital will be used to fund the club's investment activities and generate returns for members.
Returns
The club aims to achieve an annual return on investment of more than 15% for all members. While the stock market averages a return of around 7-10%, our goal is to outperform the market through careful selection of investments and continuous learning and strategy refinement.
Philanthropy
In alignment with our values of active citizenship and societal contribution, the club will provide members with the option to collectively donate 10-20% of their annual returns (excluding principal) to political candidates who demonstrate a commitment to both classical liberal and conservative principles.
If the club achieves its targets, each of the 15 members will withdraw $325k on a $120k investment, with the club having donated $1.6m to conservative candidates over 10 years
Our inspiration
George Reid (1845-1918) was an influential Australian politician who served as the fourth Prime Minister of Australia. Born in Scotland, Reid's family immigrated to Australia in his early childhood. Known for his wit and eloquence, Reid was a strong advocate for free trade and a prominent figure in Australia's Federation.
